Rupture disc works
Bursting disc device is a pressure-relief device that cannot be closed repeatedly. It is started by the static pressure at the inlet and releases the pressure through the rupture of the pressure diaphragm.
Simply put, it is a one-time pressure relief device. At a set burst temperature, when the pressure difference between the two sides of the burst disc reaches a predetermined value, the burst disc can act (rupture or fall off) and release fluid.
Rupture disc features
(1) Suitable for slurry, viscous and corrosive process media, in which case the safety valve does not work
(2) Low inertia, can respond quickly to sharply rising pressure
(3) In the event of a fire or other accident, after the main pressure relief device is opened, a bursting disc can be used as an additional pressure relief device
(4) tight and leak-free, suitable for pressure vessels containing expensive or toxic media
(5) There are many specifications and models, which can be manufactured with various materials and have strong adaptability.
